Integrity produced this doll & Fashion, sort of. | Integrity's doll has much more in common with the first version of this fashion than this one. |

Trivia |
- Occasionally one can see
little dots around the
edges of the boots, most often they are
omitted from the drawings.
- Variation: Looks
quite different in the opening
credits. I believe the drawings in this sequence were taken directly from of the
original concept drawings, before they were modified/simplified to be
reproduced as toys and cartoon models.
- Variation: with gloves
and a boa in The
Bands Break Up.
- Variation: in pink/blue, shown on a
poster in The
Presidential Dilemma.

Hasbro
produced this doll & fashion. |
The doll has a general similarity to the cartoon; the hair is in a
ponytail vs. the banana clip of the cartoon. The make up is much more
subdued in Hasbro form, in soft lavenders and pinks vs. the cartoon's
darker colours and yellow & blue touches. Video doesn't have a
beauty mark on the cartoon. All of the pink on the doll was not on the
cartoon - no hairbow, no "V" on the lapel, no pink on the belt (nor the
triangular shape for that matter); the shoes are also blue on the
cartoon. The cartoon has silver stars & epaulettes on the jacket.
The pants seem puffier to me on the cartoon (more like director jodhpur
pants). The video camera the doll comes with is nothing like the more
realistic one that is shown on the cartoon.
|
Integrity also produced this doll & fashion. | Integrity's fashion is somewhat duller than the Hasbro doll; the jacket
is paler/matte velveteen in place of Hasbro Video's iridescent look;
there is no "V" on the lapel or turquoise braid on the IT version
either. The IT jacket also has epaulettes. The belt also loses the pink
but retains the overall 'arrow' shape and approximate silvery colour.
The pants are the same general scheme of yellow with a silver stripe
down the front. The hairbow is omitted, in the IT version, and the IT
shoes aren't pink either (they are blue), effectively taking away all
of Hasbro's pink touches. Her hair is a platinum blonde with a
white streak rather than brassy yellow; it also has a lot more
attention paid to the bangs and front of her hair, with a banana clip
to boot, though more for looks than function as the hair is held in
place with a pony tail anyway. Hasbro's eye make up is all in purple
shades; her lips are light pink and she has a small beauty mark.
Integrity nixed the beauty mark, darkened the lips a lot and the eye
colour also has yellow and blue in with the lavender. The differences
between the video cameras is huge! Integrity's is an era-specific
betamax with the separate video recorder, vs Hasbro's "little girl"
pink and turquoise toy. |
