Disaster
Disaster (aka "Set Backs")
After a fire claims the old Starlight House for Foster girls, Jerrica and company ask millionaire Howard Sands if they can use his mansion (a prize in the battle of the bands contest) while they look for new lodgings. Eric then hires Zipper to place a bomb in the building while the Misfits con their way onto the grounds. Later, Jem and friends are invited on a luxury cruise by the Countess Du Voisin, which gets crashed by the Misfits, again nearly causing mass loss of life after Pizzazz fails to prove her boasts of excellence at helmsmanship.
Cartoon wardrobe trivia:
All of the outfits that debuted on this show - except for the two bathing suits - were produced by Hasbro.
Let's Rock This Town (Jem Version, blue)
First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up.
After this point the outfit changes to yellow with pink tights and is seen in: Video Wars.
Model sheet number Unknown, probably J-2. (Jerrica's side is JR-2)
Hasbro produced this fashion. We first see this fashion as being really different from the dolls' produced fashion; it's baby blue with white tights and pink ankle boots.
Jem Bathing Suit
Makes it's first and only appearance in Disaster.
Model sheet number J-16. This is a video-only fashion, yet it is included in the normal Jem wardrobe line with it's own model sheet number.
Hasbro did not produce this fashion.
Trivia I didn't notice the cut-out panels at the waist in the cartoon, but they are clearly visible on the original model sheet.
CreditsUsed with permission from Shevona. See a scan of the actual cel model sheet (I have altered it to fit this page).

Rio's Bathing Suit
Makes it's first and only appearance in Disaster.
Model sheet number This is a video-only fashion, and was most likely designed by the video's designer, and will not be seen during any non-video segments.
Hasbro did not produce this fashion.

First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up, Starbright Part 1: Falling Star, Broadway Magic, Island of Deception, The Jem Jam Part 1, Hollywood Jem Part 1
Model sheet number RIO #4
Hasbro produced this fashion. The dickie is shown to be purple with a purple bow tie, looks like the jacket pockets were omitted.
TriviaThis fashion is slept in in Island of Deception. But makes a triumphant return from the cleaners to reappear in two subsequent episodes.
Command Performance
First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up, Battle of the Bands, Starbright Part 2: Colliding Stars, In Stitches, KJem.
Model sheet number J-7
Hasbro produced this fashion. The same overall design as the produced fashion, but in purple tones. See also the pink jewellery in the cartoon version, which explains the pink shoes.
Trivia
Let's Rock This Town (Jerrica version)
Makes it's first and only appearance in Disaster.
Model sheet number JR-2
Hasbro produced this fashion. Other than the shoes it looks a lot like the produced outfit for the dolls. It is missing several accessories. The hat is white, not straw coloured.
Trivia Our first glimpse at a Flip Side Fashion that is worn by Jerrica in the cartoon, then "flips" to Jem's side with Synergy's help.
Gettin' Down to Business (Jem)
First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up, Battle of the Bands, Starbright Part 1: Falling Star, Starbright Part 2: Colliding Stars, In Stitches, The Rock Fashion Book

Trivia
  • There is a poster in the background of Jem wearing a purple version of Encore - based strongly on a famous Art Nouveau work, Woman Holding Bay Leaves And A Feather by Alphonse Mucha- shown in Kimber's Rebellion.
Credits Thanks to Sharon for donating the A3a original line art to the Jem wardrobe!
Permanent Wave
First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up, Battle of the Bands, Starbright Part 1: Falling Star, Starbright Part 2: Colliding Stars, Adventure in China, Last Resorts, The Rock Fashion Book, In Search of the Stolen Album, The Princess and the Singer, The Jem Jam Part 2, Scandal, One Jem Too Many, The Bands Break Up, Danse Time, KJem, Hollywood Jem Part 1 (with black earrings), Homeland, Heartland, Straight From the Heart, A Father Should Be.... (black earrings)
Model sheet number K-2
Hasbro produced this fashion. Most obvious difference from the produced fashion is the addition of socks in the cartoon. Also the belt is orange with black jewels (not white with a single orange one), the top/neckline has an orange ringer and no obvious bustier neckline showing.
Trivia I think Kimber wears this fashion nearly as much as her original stage fashion!

Trivia
  • One of a few fashions shown in the opening credits
  • The odd red heart tattoo under her arm seems to be a goof - it was probably a shadow in an earlier drawing that was misrepresented later as a tattoo.
Winning is Everything
First appears in Disaster and again in: Kimber's Rebellion, Frame Up, Starbright Part 1: Falling Star, Starbright Part 3: Rising Star, In Stitches, The Princess and the Singer, Glitter and Gold, KJem
Model sheet number P-2
Hasbro produced this fashion. It's significantly darker blue than the produced fashion. The hat is also shown to be shiny, there are lots of bracelets, a different design on the stomach, and the shoes are navy, not pink! I like Pizzazz's "Jemstar" earrings too!
