Comments/Trivia
  • Licensed by Hasbro and produced by Integrity Toys.
  • She was available first to attendees at San Diego Comic Con 2014. About a week later, a small number was offered for sale through Hasbrotoyshop.com.
  • She is the only doll to come in a box of this size with a cello window. It faithfully reproduces the prototype 1988 Hasbro Rockin' Romance doll proposed for 1988, but never officially released.
  • She is the most expensive Integrity Jem doll so far, priced at $139.99
  • Unfortunately this doll had some moisture issues in shipping, and so some were affected by mold spores, mostly confined to the dress; the intensity of the mold varied among the dolls, from what I have read on various doll boards. In my personal experience, Integrity has been more than generous with replacing parts and/or refunding money to people who have had this issue. If you have a problem with your doll, please contact Integrity through their product issues page.

12" doll: Caucasian (FR White, in Integrity terms) complexion, softly curled side ponytail, curled bangs, violet eyes and eye make up, pale pink lips and pierced ears.
  • All of the Integrity Jem (herself) dolls so far, share the same face mold.
  • Dated 2012.
  • She is the seventh version of Jem produced.
She has an articulated smooth vinyl body that can hold many poses. She comes with two pairs of hands. She is marked ©2012 Integrity on her rear.
  • I'm not sure if it was intentional (I hope it is!) but the hip joints on my Rockin' Romance Jem doll are much stiffer and hold poses a bit better than previous Jem dolls.
  • Her fingernails and toenails have pale pink polish.
These are the hands she was packaged with.
The second pair are in different positions. Came packed in a small clear box with her shoes, attached to the liner near her feet

bustled dress: Hot pink satin with white polka-dots ruffled skirt with matching hot pink bodice, bustle in the back; has an embroidered white neckline/collar, lined in hot pink satiny material, has hook and eye closures in back.
hair tie: bow made of the same material as the dress, mounted on a hot pink satin ribbon, with a bead/elastic closure.
tights: Beige/flesh tone semi opaque hose, elasticized waist.

pumps: Hot pink sparkly leatherette with white insoles and beige soles. Came packed in a small clear box with her extra hands, attached to the liner near her feet.
JEMSTAR earrings: Red jemstar earrings with an extra removable star charm to create dangly earrings. Came in a clear cello bag attached to the liner near her feet.
2 bracelets: silver-toned metal bracelets with an engraved floral pattern. Came in a clear cello bag attached to the liner near her feet.
microphone: Silver tone cordless microphone. Came in a clear cello bag attached to the liner near her feet.

doll stand Made up of pieces itemized below.

stand base: black hollow plastic with the Jem logo printed on the top, licensing information on the underside. It is dated 2014.

Stand pole: chromed plastic tube with an adjustable metal inner pole.
under arm doll holder: Attaches to the top of the stand pole.
saddle style holder: Attaches to the top of the stand pole.
Box, liner and inserts not noted in Integrity's box contents above.
Shipper: A plain cardboard box with some printing on the bottom reading ITEM NO.: 14059/DESC.:Rockin' Romance/JEM Dressed Doll/The JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMSTM Collection/Exclusive.
Outer box: Silver foil with pink screened LP record design and Jem logo. The top of the box lifts off. The inside is hot pink.
Doll box: I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the higher price, and (to me!) well worth it! It is an extremely accurate reproduction (using photos of the Integrity doll though, for obvious reasons) of Hasbro's 1988 prototype box for Rockin' Romance Jem!
Just like the 80's dolls, the doll is tied onto a cardboard liner in royal purple, with her stand behind her legs. Her accessories are in little baggies, taped to the liner near her feet.

Certificate of Authenticity: postcard sized. There is no mention of the edition size. It came in a baggie behind the cardboard tray that the doll is attached to. It is specific to Rockin' Romance Jem.
Instructions: She did not come with any; at least mine did not.

Source Differences from produced doll (if any)
Hasbro prototype (catalogue photo)The tights (white lace with a polka dot pattern) and shoes (pink scallop edged pumps), bracelets (2 white zig-zag style), jewellery (iridescent white pearl "drop" earrings and matching pearl necklace) look very much like what was "produced' in the tiny run such as it was. The dress however, looks to be rather a darker shade of pink.
Hasbro Prototype (boxed samples with pale pink dress)The few that were found in boxes have a much paler pink dress than the one that appears on the cartoon, with pearl drop earrings and necklace. The doll's hair is also not completely gathered in a pony tail but rather a section of hair has a ponytail; the hair is crimped. She comes with pink shoes and white tights with polka dots. In all versions I've seen so far (the boxed dolls + the catalogue photos), the skirt is not two layers of the same length, but rather has a small frill around the bodice and a longer skirt. She came with two zig zag white bracelets as opposed to one.
Illustrations: Cartoon  Integrity's version is much more like the cartoon, shown left. The main differences are that Integrity's version comes with dangle earrings, pink shoes and two bracelets rather than one.
