Doll Name Jetta
Stock # (US) #4214
Hasbro package contents listing 12 1/2" doll with stage fashion, pretend saxophone, hairpick, pumps, cassette tape and figure stand.
Comments/Trivia
  • It is possible she was the last 12 1/2" Jem doll produced.
  • Ironically, she was not sold in the UK; neither was she sold in France. It's likely she did not get any European distribution.
Produced Variants So far, I have only seen Jetta with "Made in China" markings on her back (upper and lower stamps). To learn more about these body types and slight differences, please see the body variations page.

12 1/2" doll; Caucasian doll with very long straight black hair with silver tinsel strands, has spiky bangs.
  • She can be found with the back of her head/nape of her neck being painted, but bald, with no punch holes.  (Clash also has this variation)
  • Jetta, Clash & Danse share the same face mold, , which in turn looks like it was adapted from the Erica face mold from Kenner's Darci doll line.

stage fashion (shirt); a sleeveless black cotton tank top with white fabric painted polka dots, velcro closure in back, large triangular silver tabard in front (attached to shirt) trimmed with a black fringe.

stage fashion (skirt); Black cotton mini skirt, elasticized waist, white fabric-paint polka dot design (matches top).
  • This fabric is one that was featured in the (non-produced) Matching Medley Fashions line as seen in the 1988 Pre-Toy Fair Hasbro catalogue.

stage fashion (pants);  White and black cotton vertically striped capri-length pants

stage fashion (belt); long strip of white velveteen fabric with black Dalmatian print pattern
  • The same material is used for the Gimme Gimme Gimme minidress.
  • This fabric is one that was featured in the (non-produced) Matching Medley Fashions line as seen in the 1988 Pre-Toy Fair Hasbro catalogue.

pretend saxophone; black plastic with a silver cord.

hairpick; dark pink

pumps; black scallop-edged pumps.
  • Jetta owns the only pair of black Jem shoes, so they are pretty easy to identify.
cassette tape; Jetta; Black with white lettering.

Side A  Jetta - "JEM Theme", "Who Is She Anyway?" "Designing Women (sic)"
Side B Jetta- Instrumental.

  • Her cassette is the only one dated 1987.

  • She is the only doll that got this particular stand.

Packaging Variants: A listing of the packaging that Jetta can be found in, that I know of, so far! You may also find it interesting to find out what "H-22", "H-32", and "H-44" means. Anything in Italics I haven't actually seen but have good reason to believe exists. If you have any photos or information/corrections to share, I'd love to hear about it!
