Comments/Trivia
  • 1 of 9 Rio Fashions released in 1987
  • This fashion is named after a Jem (Misfits) song title.
  • Rio Fashions are among the only Jem items to bear the date of 1987.
  • 1987 Rio fashions did not appear in the French or UK 1987 Hasbro catalogues; presumably they were not available there.

Leather-look jacket: Silver lamé with snakeskin design printed on it, bright orange ribbed cotton trim, 2 metal snaps.

  • I've found this jacket can stick to the cardboard backing in the package and leave marks.  It may do the same on dolls or other fabrics.

pants: Silver lame, harem-style.  Gun-metal grey lamé with a snakeskin pattern on the waistband. Velcro closure in back.

boat shoes; orange with zig-zag pattern on soles.
  • These are the only orange Rio shoes.

Packaging Variants: A listing of the packaging that It Takes A Lot can be found in, that I know of, so far!
*I don't own all of these fashions NRFB so I can't say which, if any posters and inserts originally came with it.  Bold listings are those I have used to create this ID page.  Anything in Italics I haven't actually seen but have good reason to believe exists.  If you have any photos or information/corrections to share, I'd love to hear about it!
