Jem Star Stage
# 4100
It was a mixture of a few different toys- most obviously it's a real cassette player, made to look like an instrument for a child to play with.  Then it opened up and became either Jem's stage or Jerrica's office, PLUS under the floor you could store all your extra Jem goodies!  The Star Stage could be hooked up to the Backstager and was to be used with the Video Madness playsets (the backdrops fit perfectly over the back of the stage).

  • Sold Both years.
  • Compare Star Stage prototype photos, box art, cartoon form, comic book form and many other incarnations.
  • The back of the box always says what is contained with the playset.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the Jem Star Stage;
    Contains; Star Stage case with working cassette player, adjustable shoulder strap, 3 doll stands, and 1 Jem logotype, folding office backdrop with moving TV image, label sheet and instructions.  Pretend accessories include; 6 lightning bolts and two speakers, 3 microphones with bases, 8 spotlights, and 4 spotlight clamps, file cabinet and telephone, coffee cup, desk and chair.

    3 doll stands (I believe just the "leg holder" part, they fit into the pink floor.
    Jem logotype; quite large, about 5" wide, on white plastic, has a plastic clip in the back to attach it to the stage "wall"/lid.

    bases (for the microphones), one of each; green, orange and hot pink.
    8 spotlights, and 4 spotlight clamps; (shown assembled); there are silver squares where the "lights" would be so they do actually reflect light.

    The table top is shown to be clear on the box art and elsewhere..  It is also clear in some European Stages.
    I'll give more details in the future as it's really not terribly interesting to me!
