STRAIGHT EDGED PUMPS

1) Metallic: There are only two sets of straight-edged metallic pumps that I know of, so they are easy to identify.

Chrome Pink (Insides are silver, pink coating can vary from light pink to nearly red.)
Came with the following doll
Original Jem/Jerrica only
  • If you find these with sort of "crusty" finish, they may be Mexican.
  • Gold
    Came with the following doll
    Only The Beginning only
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • 2) Opaque

    If your shoes have two little holes in the soles of the shoe, they are knock-off Jem shoes, most likely belonging to Jewel by Totsy.
    If your shoes are sort of metallic grey, gold or are pearly, they are also knock-off Jem shoes, most likely from Sears
    If your shoes have a star stamped on them, then they are from Creata Rock Star fashions.
    Pale pink to pale lavender (can vary quite a lot)
    Came with the following doll
    First Edition Aja only
  • Similar to, but much lighter than, First edition Shana's shoes.
  • Lavender
    Came with the following doll
  •  First Edition Shana only
  • Purple
    Came with the following fashions

    1. Electric Chords only

    Thinnest sides. Light will shine through them the easiest of the three.  Slightly more of a blue shade than those of Twilight in Paris.
    2. Twilight in Paris only
    Purple, thick sides.
    3. City Lights & We're Off and Running
    Lighter purple than Twilight in Paris, thick sides.
    Dark Red Violet #1  Appear to be the darkest red-violet shoes made in this style.  They came with a second-year only fashion (surprisingly):
    Came with the following fashions.  Note from Shevona: They are the same shade as those from She Makes an Impression.  They are not Euro Roxy's shoe shade!
    We Can Change It

    Dark Red Violet #2 (noticeably thinner and more transparent than Music In the Air shoes.
    Came with the following doll(s)
    First Edition Stormer
    Second Edition Stormer
    Dark Red-Violet #3 (thicker than Stormer's shoes)
    Came with the following fashion;
    Music In the Air
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • Dusty Rose (a shade lighter than those from Music in the Air, "they look like rose with a hint of blue.")
    Came with the following doll:
    First Edition Kimber variant.  This is the colour typically given to non-US packaged (ie: European, Australian, Canadian) dolls)
  • Scan & information courtesy of Antipathy
  • Fluorescent Pink #1 (a shade duller/cooler than those from Like A Dream)
    Came with the following doll(s) and fashion(s);
    First Edition Kimber
    Command Performance
    Fluorescent Pink #2 (compared to 1st ed. Kimber's and Command Performance's shoes, these are a little brighter looking).
    Came with the following fashion;
    Like a Dream only
    Magenta Pink
    Came with the following fashion
    24 Carat Sound
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • Raspberry Pink (much brighter and pinker than it looks in the scan, a bit more orangey in tone); Extremely minute colour variations between these shoes, and those from Come On In, and Award Night.  They are essentially the same colour and each slight variation seems to occur regularly among the outfits, among US and non-US distributed fashions.  Just for curiosity's sake, they are all shown here side by side so you can see how similar they are in person.  Scans are all from Rhonda Robinson.
    Winning Is Everything
    Come On In
    Award Night
    Dark Orange  (see a photo of all orange shoes beside the "Up n' Rockin'" dress for colour reference.  Thanks to Lynda for this photo!)
    Came with the following fashion;
    Lightnin' Strikes only
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • Orange  (see a photo of all orange shoes beside the "Up n' Rockin'" dress for colour reference.  Thanks to Lynda for this photo!)
    Came with the following fashion;
    Permanent Wave only
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • There are apparently variations among the two years, thanks to Liz here are some nitpicky details:

  • 1st year: Orange sherbet color; slightly translucent/fluorescent & thick sided;
    2nd year: Bright "crayon" orange, Opaque & Thin-sided
  • 1st PW is still darker and more translucent/fluorescent than Up & Rockin', but clearly lighter and less opaque than 2nd PW. It Takes A Lot and 2nd PW are pretty close in color and intensity.  Lightning Strikes is darker still than 2nd PW.
  • Yellow-Orange (see a photo of all yellow shoes together for colour reference.  Thanks to Lynda for this photo!)
    Came with the following fashion;
    Dancin' The Night Away only
  • Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
  • Yellow-Orange (lighter than those above, darker than the shoes from 1st Edition Roxy)  (see a photo of all yellow shoes together for colour reference.  Thanks to Lynda for this photo, and the one shown left)
    Came with the following fashion;
    Dancin' The Night Away (Lace tights variant)
    Yellow  (see a photo of all yellow shoes together for colour reference.  Thanks to Lynda for this photo!)

    1. Second Edition Roxy only

    Fluorescent yellow.  Hard to tell from scan, but easily apparent in person!
    2. Encore only
    Pure yellow
    3. First Edition Roxy only
    Pastel Yellow, Almost the same colour as butter. It's not fluorescent looking at all in person.
    Euro Stormer dolls seem to have more often come with yellow shoes than typical "US doll" magenta.
    Light Green
    Came with the following fashion;
    Friend or Stranger only
    Scan courtesy of Rhonda Robinson
    True Green
    Came with the following fashion;
    Gimme Gimme Gimme only
    Aqua
    Came with the following doll;
    First edition Jem/Jerrica only
  • These are probably the most common Jem shoes to find.
  • Dark Aqua
    Came with the following fashions;
    There are two different outfits with similarly coloured shoes,

    1: Running like the Wind
    2: There Ain't Nobody Better

    Looks like I've been wrong about these shoes for awhile-- Tommy, Thumper and Annessa have agreed that the thinner-edged, lighter shoes (#1 in the photo) are for Running Like the Wind, and the thicker sided/darker shoes (#2) are for There Ain't Nobody Better.  Thanks guys!

    White
    Came with the following fashion;
    Music Is Magic only
  • The only white shoes in Jem's size.
  • Gunmetal Grey
    Shoes have an iridescent lavender sheen.
    1. Pizzazz, 2nd edition
    Thinner sides. Light will shine through them if held up to a light source. Shinier.
    2. Pizzazz, 1st edition
    Thicker and paler grey, the irredecent sheen shows more on these shoes.
