Running Like the Wind
Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • Second Year Only
  • A Flip Side Fashion
  • It was named after a Jem song
  • One of the rarer Jem fashions
  • Scans of belt, bodysuit, sock, glasses and shoe are the contributions of Rhonda Robinson!
  • The Second Year package photograph of Sophisticated Lady, (the same photo is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster) looks pretty close to the produced version, but the tabard looks like lamé, it's actually more of a satin fabric.
  • It did appear on the cartoon.
  • Dress: Stretchy, matte aqua blue tunic dress.

  • Do not confuse it with an altered dress from Dancin' the Night Away -the material is not shiny, nor are there slits up the sides, for starters!
  • Gloves: Made of the same fabric, gold stretchy sparkle material as those from the armbands from Only the Beginning, but are much shorter and are handless gloves, not armbands.
Belt: similar, but not identical to the belt from There Ain't Nobody Better.
Tabard: It's reversible, with a Jem side (gold with Jem logo) and a Jerrica side (blue and white stripes).

  • Ye Gods, there is a variant!  Thanks to nynewzie for sending a photo of the tabard with a yellow collar!  The fabric is pale yellow satin (it is not the same gold used on the "Jem" side).
  • Hat.  White spandex w/blue dots, elasticized in back.
    Bodysuit: White spandex tank suit.
Sock (one of a pair) Thinner material than those from 24 carat Sound.
    Sunglasses: Square shaped, blue.
  • Davide and Tommy/ng.59 say they are identical to those from Lightnin' Strikes.
  • Shoes; Dark Aqua Straight Edged Pumps
  • go to Straight-edged Jem shoes to read about how to tell them apart from other Jem shoes
