Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • Released both years
  • A Smashin' Fashion and a Rio Fashion
  • It is not (thankfully) named after a Jem song.
  • All outfit scans courtesy of A. Tremblay.  Thanks!
  • Not sure if it was featured on the cartoon...
  • The photo used in the 1986 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue and various other sources either shows a real metal buckle, or the fabric "buckle" is shaped like one.  There are no sunglasses.  The shoes are mauve sneakers.
  • First Year Package Art illustration does show sunglasses.  The belt may not be there (it's covered by the shirt)
  • The same photo (see left) is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster and the Second Year package art, looks very much like the produced outfit, shows it with sunglasses.
  • Shirt; soft cotton turquoise with yellow, magenta, purple and green vertical stripes.
Pants, look a lot like the ones from Congratulations
Belt: Like thick ribbon, purple with a gold "buckle".
    Shoes; Yellow Sneakers
Sunglasses: The ones shown left are a guess.  I can tell you they are purple and not square shaped, but I'm not 100% which purple glasses (click the link to see all smaller Jem purple glasses together) came with this fashion.
