Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • Second Year only
  • A Flip Side Fashion
  • Fashion was named after a Jem song
  • It's one of the rarer fashions
  • All photos and quotes are from it's owner and contributor, Nancy Cerelli.
  • The Second Year package photograph of Putting It All Together, (the same photo is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster) looks very red compared to the produced version, it also shows the smaller sunglasses.
  • The back of the box always says what is contained with the doll.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the fashion;
    Contains; Gold sparkle dress, hot pink tights, top, cape, hat, gloves, sunglasses & shoes
    Gold sparkle dress (pink and gold glitter dress/skirt): Same fabric as top. Elastic waist, straight-out a bit below the knees.
    hot pink tights: although the outfit looks very red in the pictures on the box, in reality, all the "red" stuff is really a pinkish-red hue. This includes the tights.  I am not sure how they differ from those of "Let's Rock This Town" but I am guessing they are more fluorescent.
    top: The fabric is like a knitted yellow/gold colour with intertwining gold lame threads woven into it.  It has long sleeves and a mildly curving neckline. There is a ruffle on each shoulder as well as on each cuff of the sleeve. The ruffles are made of gold lame fabric like the glitter and gold dress. The back has a drooping "v" cut, exposing part of her back. It velcros shut at the bottom.
    Cape; The capes from this fashion and "Broadway Magic" look like the same cut except that Puttin it All together has a little collar which velcros shut around her neck. It also velcros shut at the bottom. There's a small decorative bow over this part. The fabric of this cape is slightly more satiny than the hat or mittens but the same colour.
    Hat; "the fabric is the same as the mittens, there's a toque like hat part to it, and there is a separate strip of rectangular fabric that goes around the base of it. The strip is separate but it sewn onto the cap in 2 spots and the ends of it hang off the back (since the strip is longer than the circumference of the hat)"
    Gloves; (mittens) they are cut exactly like the ones from Purple Haze but they are made of that reddish pink fabric.
    Sunglasses: reddish pink, transparent plastic, squarish shaped.
  • Shoes: they are thin-edged, scalloped edged pumps, hot pink in colour.  Go here to compare them in colour with other Jem shoes.
