First Year Only A Smashin' Fashion It is named after a Misfits song All outfit scans except shoe and tights are the contributions of Rhonda Robinson It was featured on the cartoon The photo (see left) used in both the first year Jem catalogue poster and the 1986 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue doesn't have a hairbow or socks; the shoes are shown to be royal purple straight edged pumps. Another photo is used in the 1986 German Leaflet (same photo appears in the 1986 Belgium catalogue) is radically different, the dress itself being mostly white with a sparse floral pattern, the tights look like a paler yellow, the hairbow also has a lot of white in it.  The shoes are either absent or appear to be straight cut pumps.  First Year Package Art illustration shows straight-edged yellow pumps, but it otherwise quite faithful to the produced fashion.
	The back of a card/box always says what is contained in the fashion.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the fashion.  INCLUDES: floral dress, belt, tights, socks, flower hairpiece and shoes.

floral dress; nylon plum minders, with large yellow and green flower pattern, purple mesh around hem and neckline, slit up sides. Scan, some info

belt; Unlike most Jem belts, the belt has no velcro.  Instead, the yellow ribbon is threaded through the silver lame' belt buckle to fasten the belt.  This makes for an easily adjusted belt, but one that can easily come undone as well.

tights; orangy-yellow, matte stretch tights.    Some have come with peach tights that are the same as those from "We're Off and Running." Thanks to Eliza Frye & Taffeta for info in this section!

Socks; lycra plum ankle socks, with zig-zag stitching.

Hairpiece; Flower shaped.  three layers, first layer is dark fuchsia satin, second two layers are thin yellow.  Three faux pearls in centre, attached to white elastic.  A hairpeice very similar to (or the same as) this one is listed in the Hasbro Pre-Toy Fair Catalogue Matching Medley Fashion Accessories.

Shoes: Fluorescent Yellow, open toed heeled sandals
