Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • First Year only
  • An On Stage Fashion
  • It is named after a Jem song
  • All outfit scans are the contributions of Rhonda Robinson!
  • It was featured on the cartoon
  • The photo (see left) used in both the first year Jem catalogue poster and the 1986 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue has several differences- the bodysuit colour is much deeper, the belt is a different texture, shape and is black, the scarf is missing the velcro and the shoes are bright pink!
  • Another photo used in the 1986 German Leaflet,  (same photo appears in an issue of Topolino, and again in the 1986 Belgium catalogue) showing the outfit again in a deeper colour, no belt, velcro missing on scarf, hot pink shoes, and the arm band is made of gold lamé.
  • First Year Package Art illustration is still off- the bodysuit is royal purple and the belt is black but otherwise looks right.
  • The back of a card/box always says what is contained in the fashion.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the fashion.
INCLUDES; Red Violet Jumpsuit, belt, scarf, glove and pumps.
Red Violet Jumpsuit; once again, the typical spandex strapless Jem pantsuit, more of a dark pink/fuchsia in my opinion.

  • This body suit differs from the one from "Music in the Air" because it's a lighter pink, and the legs are about 1 cm or more shorter.
  • There is a variant- the neckline can be either straight across or dipped in the middle (shown left).
  • I have been told there is a purple-blue version of this jumpsuit for this outfit.  (Information courtesy of L. Machacek)
  • belt; white iridescent "mosaic" type pattern, velcros in back.
  • Variation: "a black belt that is three belts together and rides the hips." (Information courtesy of L. Machacek)
  • scarf; gold stretch sparkle fabric (same as used in Twilight in Paris dress, and the glove to this outfit).  It velcros together.
glove; gold stretch sparkle fabric (same as used in Twilight in Paris dress, and the scarf to this outfit).  There is only one, it is handless, so it's more like a long arm band.  It can be differentiated from the ones from Runnin' Like the Wind because it is more like an arm band than a glove.
pumps; Gold Straight Edged Pumps, metallic
