Every Jem thing pretty much came with one of these offer dealies. In it are instructions to order the MTV Jacket. |

Wow. In 1986, you could get one of these babies for $3 and one Jemstar point (these were printed on the back of boxes). Nowadays, they go for much much more! They are made of black satiny material which frays quite easily, thus making them even rarer to find used. I believe this jacket is done in the same style as Rio's On the Road with Jem jacket. 3 metal snaps up the front. |

| Canadian Dolls came with a larger MTV offer
(French on one side, English on the other), basically the same as the US
one, except you could also buy a Jem Wristlocker, basically a wristband
that zips open with the Jem logo on it.
I recently read someplace that tying Jem into the MTV channel was her downfall. Not sure why this is so... but someone got that published in a book! I've also seen this jacket made in people-size, so it's probably based on that. |
