Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • Second Year only
  • A Glitter 'n Gold Fashion
  • Fashion was not named after a Jem song
  • thanks to Amy Andrews for the boxed fashion information and scan
  • Notice the odd description of the outfit given by Hasbro... no mention of the gloves and they call the headband a "hat".  Hmm!
  • The Second Year package photograph of Fire & Ice (the same photos are used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster) (see left) looks much darker red than the produced fashion is.
  • It did appear on the cartoon
  • The Glitter and Gold Illustrated poster (same image is used on the front of the Hot Time in Hawaii video) looks pretty much like the produced fashion.
  • The back of the box always says what is contained with the doll.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the doll;
    Contains;  ruffled dress, hat, panties and shoes.
    ruffled dress; Sapphire lamé, with a strap that goes behind the neck and snaps onto the other side.  Attached to this strap is gold and blue shiny ruffle.  The attached skirt is made of the same blue and gold shiny ruffled material, with a gold mesh overskirt (same mesh from Gold Rush boa). Over that is a gold lamé ruffled circle with a heart shaped, light blue jewel set in it.

  • The jewel colour seems to vary from nearly white to the blue shown in this photo, it doesn't seem to be as dark as the one shown in the catalogue pictures.
  • hat; Gold lamé headband, ruffled, attached to a gold elastic (similar to Fire N' Ice hairbow)
    Panties: Royal blue satin, with elasticized waist.
    Shoes; Gold Scalloped-Edged Pumps.
  • Usually a darker gold than those that came with Glitter N' Gold Jem, the same as those from Purple Haze & Midnight Magic.

  • Hasbro Neglected to mention:

    Glove #1; Gold lamé (handless, so it's actually more like an arm-band) with a gold mesh ruffle.
    Glove #2; gold lamé (handless, so it's actually more like an arm-band) plain, no ruffle.
