Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • First Year Only
  • A Flip Side Fashion
  • It was not named after a Jem song (but there is a song called "Let's Blow This Town")
  • All outfit scans, except shirt are the contributions of Rhonda Robinson
  • Let's Rock This Town and the other Flip Sides in the 1986 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue: The Jem side of the dress is very different- it's yellow with glitter-glue dots on it.  The Jerrica side has thinner blue stripes, the tights, belt and ribbon are a lot darker than the produced fashion's. The sunglasses are opaque, and the shoes are straight-edged yellow pumps.
  • Let's Rock This Town in the 1986 German Leaflet (same photo appears in the 1986 Belgium catalogue): Jem's dress is yellow with glitter-glue dots on it, Jerrica's dress has thinner blue stripes, the tights are very sheer and slightly blue, the hat is white, the belt and ribbon are much darker (nearly magenta) and the shoes are straight edged hot pink pumps.
  • The drawing of Let's Rock This Town on the 1986 Flip Side Fashions box art is nearly spot on.  Good job!
  • The Second Year package photograph of Let's Rock This Town, (the same photo is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster) has slightly darker pinks in it, but otherwise looks like the produced version.
  • It did appear on the cartoon.
  • The back box always says what is contained with the fashion.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the it; (2nd year version)
Includes: Reversible striped dress, sash, tights, blouse, straw hat with ribbon, sandals and sunglasses.
Reversible striped dress; The "Jerrica" side is shown on the left, the "Jem" side on the right.  The shiny rainbow pattern on the Jem side is the same as that from the Love's Not Easy dress.
  • It's one of the few Flipside fashions that actually use the "reversibility" gimmick.
  • sash: Hot pink spandex, with silver rhinestones, velcros together.
tights: Dark pink matte stretch tights, elasticized waist.  I'm guessing these are a duller pink than those from Puttin' It All Together
blouse; turtleneck with rolled up sleeves.  It's made of a weirdly textured polyester.  Velcros in back.
    straw hat with ribbon
sandals: Pure Yellow open toed heeled sandals
  • See Jem Sandals to tell them apart from other yellow Jem shoes
  • sunglasses; Yellow.
