Krissie
4214/4025 Asst.

Description: Krissie is African-American with wavy brown shoulder length (if not combed out) hair. These are the least recognizable Jem dolls as they are proportioned like teenagers (plus their arms don't bend, flat feet, wrists don't swivel.) Known Variations Comments and Fun Facts
  • She is arguably the rarest Starlight Girl, but even that isn't that rare.  She's also the prettiest, IMHO!

    The back box always says what is contained with the doll.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the doll;
    Contains 11" doll, sweatshirt, stirrup pants, shoes, hairpick, headpiece and figure stand.

    sweatshirt; soft cotton, orange short sleeved shirt with flamingo decal, velcros in back.  The bottom ties up, it's shown untied.
    stirrup pants; Soft cotton, elasticized waist, fabric painted on pink triangles, stirrups.
    shoes; orange clear Jelly shoes.
    Hairpick; Medium Pink; Go to Jem combs to see minute colour differences if you care!
    Headpiece; dark orange mesh with silver threads woven in.

  • Thanks to Joyce for this picture!
  • Stand; Milky hot pink; the leg stand is peculiar to Starlight Girls, as they have small lines on the inside to hold their smaller legs in place, the hole is also a bit smaller in the bottom.  Each Starlight Girl came with the same stand.

  • Krissie (and the Starlight Girls) in the 1987 French Toy Fair Catalogue
  • A really obvious blooper, Krissie is wearing Banee's outfit and a mauve hairbow (none of the Starlight Girls came with a mauve hairbow)
  • Krissie's skin tone is much darker & her lipstick is nearly invisible.
