| Thanks to Francisco for the following information (and I hope to hear
from you again! ^_^)
The Show: "..."JEM" was shown in my country from 1989 until 1992 (ALL episodes were aired). After this they did not re-aired "JEM" in Brazil. The songs from the cartoon were translated in Portuguese and the main song theme too." Apparently they redubbed the episodes sometime later, leaving the songs in English. According to another source, (translated by Gabe, thanks! and rehashed by me), SBT aired Jem in 1988 on an evening show called "Carrossel". By 1991, they no longer aired the show. Foxkids later aired what seems to be the Truly Outrageous Jem movie, redubbed (not using the SBT dubs, and leaving the songs in English). Jem was watchable again in 2001, via a Mexican channel called Zaz, in Spanish. |
| Hasbro & other licensed toys: "Unfortunately JEM dolls or videos were not released here. |
| This site uses stolen graphics (some are mine, even! O_o) But they do have downloadable Portuguese Jem songs! |

| Thanks to Francisco for the following information
Hasbro & other licensed toys: "The dolls could be easily found in PARAGUAI (very near to BRAZIL) during 1991-1993 (dolls didn't have a spanish boxes, they were just the same as the dolls sold in the USA)" (I'm guessing as imports, ed.) |

Thanks to Francis for the majority of the information in this section. |
| The Show: Jem was aired in Argentina, at least in 1996 and most likely earlier. It was dubbed in Spanish, except for the songs which remained in English. |
| Hasbro's Toyline: I am not sure if any of Hasbro's line was sold there. |
| Other Jem Items:
-Video: There were at least 2 or 3 videos available to rent there, Francis saw one with a "Passport to Rock"-esque cover. -Jem Jumbo Card Game (contents photo) by Cromy. Last I checked these were available for sale at the following URL: The Buenos Aires Toy Museum Argentina (they also have Argentinean exclusive toys from other lines, like My Little Pony!) They seem to be fairly recent items (they've been available since at least 1996 and may still be available there now. Thanks to Lorna for the photo of the sealed package. -Jem Sticker Album, By Cromy: Similar to the Panini/Diamond albums in concept, but completely different inside, different stickers, etc. The album and stickers I got were dated 1986, but the sticker packages were dated 1995, indicating a re-release of old stock. Mostly uses redrawn box & poster art, but there are some shots of the cartoon as well. Check out this weird Danse/Jem - KJem sticker! It appears to be drawn from a photo from the 1987 Hasbro Toy Catalogue. -Knock Off Jem dolls called "Jemma", using the Jem logo and rainbow pattern (like the background of this page), at a .99 cent store, were found recently (1999). The dolls looked nothing like Jem though. -Jem "Erasers" - actually PVC figures. The hypothesis behind these is that they were made just as Jem was being cancelled; Jem was possibly still marketable in Argentina and they were shipped there for sale. The Jem one was also available in the US as a cake decoration. Thanks to Walter for allowing me to photograph his collection for these photos! If you know of any other characters, please contact me! |

| The Show: I have no idea if it aired there. |
| Hasbro & other licensed toys: I got a Spanish Jem/Jerrica from Chile. It may have just been imported there, I'm not sure if the Spanish dolls were distributed there or not. |
