I think it's reasonable to
say that at least, the 1986 issue Jem/Jerrica, Holograms
and Misfits dolls were available there, in German packaging, as we have
finally got confirmation of a German doll (a first
Edition Shana), thanks to Jean-Nicolas from Québec, Canada /
popartmusic81. These boxes are differentiated by saying "Shana von
den Holograms" as opposed to the Dutch which reads "Shana van de Holograms". The Jem German leaflet page shows . It's unlikely the second year items were sold there, according to German Jem fan Toylady. I am not yet certain if there were Germany-specific toys or if they only got imports from other countries.

R Us advertisement! Interestingly, Jem was nearly a third of
the cost of Barbie, yet was still quite unpopular there. There are definitely comic
books, the UK comics translated into German
by Bastei. The Germans followed their own timeline and didn't put
out the stories in the same order as the UK did, for whatever reason.
The last German comic book used some art and excerpts from the 1988
UK Annual (it even used the cover art!).
There was a mail-in taped called
(translated) "Uncle Ben reports from America,"
that could be obtained by sending in Jemstar points from the boxes, or
from filling out the back page of the Jem
German leaflet page.
