From what I can tell, it looks as though Australia and New Zealand probably shared a lot of their exclusive things (videos, books, etc.). I have yet to find out if anything is exclusively one or the other, therefore they are listed together here.

| The Show: "the series when it played in nz in 1987 it played it's whole run apart from episode 65, In 94 when it returned to tv, it played the whole 3 seaons except for episode 65. ( they must have had something against ep 65)." (thanks Rach for the quoted info.). Lynda mentions that she rented a Jem video before they were aired on television. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hasbro's Toyline:

Videos: Some titles seem to be the same as Australian ones (see table below) so I am not sure if these are exclusively New Zealand items or not. Note that videos have names of shows that never actually appeared on the tape in some cases, &/or are completely different from the US titles of the same name. Videos come in clamshell cases with a slip of paper serving as the front and back images. This is still a section that needs some work, so not all information (especially about episodes) may be accurate. The following have been confirmed by a contributor (Rach):
These have not been confirmed- They may be Australian only or bootlegs
(Thanks again Rach for the info)

Jem on DVD: As far as I know these are still in print.
They are region 4, typically playable in Australia, New Zealand and Latin
America. This Australian DVD
website has more info on the discs.

| The Show: any information is welcome! |
| Hasbro's Toyline; At least the first year dolls made it there, I presume Australia got most of, or the entire Jem line. |
| Other Jem Items:
-Deluxe Take-Along Vanity Set #1 (Cosrich) Came with cosmetic bag, compact mirror, comb and brush (they aren't the same ones that came with the 3 piece dresser set) This one has a pale pink cosmetic bag, with the Jem logo in pink and yellow & "confetti" around it. The brush has the Jem logo on a pink and yellow graded background. The photo is thanks to Claudiebare on eBay, this particular example is from Austrailia, but I believe they were available in other countries as well. Australia has beautiful video cover, art I love it! -Totally Jem (60 min)-The Talent Search 1& 2, Scandal Distributed by Golden Book Video/Golden Entertainment, 1988. -Music is Magic/Truly Outrageous AKA "Truly Outrageous" everywhere else. Often called "Music is Magic" due to the confusing writing on cover. -The Princess and the singer. Episodes: The Princess and the Singer, Adventure in China, Last Resorts, Old Meets New. Distributor: Golden Book Video Year: 1988. |
