12 1/2" doll; Caucasian doll with assymetrical bright red hair,
spiky on top.
- Nude, she can be differentiated from her second
edition by lack of earrings or earring holes
- Roxy, Kimber and Video share the same face mold, which in turn looks like it was adapted from the Dana
face mold, from Kenner's Darci doll line.
- Make up can vary from lighter toned (as seen left) to quite dark.

|
stage fashion (jacket); White velveteen tuxedo jacket with light blue lamé lapels, dark
pink ruffled inner lapels and cuffs. Closes with a plastic snap in
the front.
|

|
stage fashion (pants); harem style, light blue lamé, match lapels
on her jacket. Velcro and plastic snap closure in the back.
|

|
stage fashion (socks); white closed-weave fishnet.
- They are the same material as the stockings from Gettin' Down to Business.
-
At least one doll from Australia came with light pink socks
- Another sock variant (see pic)- sock on the left came from a UK Kimber (one with ball-joint wrists, dark
makeup) and sock on the right came from an American-issue Kimber.
|
|
musical instrument; Hand-held mauve keyboard
with metallic painted violet keys and silver strap.
- Jem was originally supposed to be named "M", the
styled "M" on the handle was made before they changed her name.
- Her
second
edition instrument is of the same mold but with clear sparkly plastic.
|

|
pumps; Fluorescent pink straight cut. This is the colour typical of US packaged dolls.
- Mine are thinner, very close to the colour of Command Performance shoes. (Compare)
- Apparently everywhere but the US, Kimber usually came with a
dusty pink colour instead. (Compare)
- At least one person got this doll with shoes in the style and colour as Stormer's.
|

|
hairpick; apparently the same colour as her shoes (the dusty pink variation). |

|
cassette tape; white with pink lettering.
Says Kimber- "JEM Theme, Only the Beginning, and Twilight in Paris." |

|
figure stand:
clear fluorescent pink -not cloudy or milky at all, those are second
edition stands. The Jem logo is embossed on the underside.
- There
seem to be several slight shade differences
between the stands. I do
not yet know if there is any logic behind who gets what colour, the
link is just a random sample of the different stands I've seen.
- My Kimber stand does not have the "TM" mark.
- The same (or close enough for all practical purposes) stand came with the 1st editions of: Jem, Aja, Kimber & Shana.
