Doll Name Video
Stock # (US) #4209
Hasbro package contents listing 12 1/2" doll with stage fashion, pretend video camera with strap, pumps, hairpick, cassette tape and figure stand.
Comments/Trivia -According to the 1988 Hasbro Pre-Toy Fair catalogue, only Video and Danse would have been reissued in year three.
Produced Variants So far, I know of dolls marked on their backs with one of the following places of manufacture, and there are slight variations among them:
  • China
  • Hong Kong (Brian has one, I know of no others)
To learn more about these body types and slight differences, please see the body variations page.

12 1/2" doll; Caucasian, long curly yellow-blonde hair in a high ponytail, lavender & mauve toned make up.
  • Taffeta says she has seen one without bangs, and that it may be a European variant.
  • Roxy, Kimber and Video share the same face mold, which in turn looks like it was adapted from the Dana face mold, from Kenner's Darci doll line.

stage fashion (Jacket); Her jacket is made of a thin translucent plasticy-acetate, dark lavender with an iridescent sheen.  2nd Edition Kimber's lapels are made of the same material.  The cuffs are turquoise velveteen, trimmed with blue eyelets, one metal snap closure in front.  The "V" on the lapel is a sticker.
-Some jackets have the V sewn on, with others it's just a sticker.

stage fashion (belt); The belt is made of thick silver braid, velcroed together with a hot pink vinyl triangular "buckle".
-Variant- the buckle (it is sewn on) can be "pointing" the other way. Which is rarer, I don't know.

stage fashion (hairbow); Her hair ribbon is made of thin gold elastic with a silver mesh and hot pink lace bow attached.
stage fashion (pants); Yellow with an orange tint, silver lines down the front, velcro closure in the back.

pretend video camera with strap; Since she is a videographer and not a musician, her "instrument" is a video camera.  Hers is lavender with an aqua lens and a thin gold cord.
The Welcome to the Jungle Video Madness playset came with a magenta and yellow variation of this camera.

pumps: transparent hot pink scalloped pumps.

hairpick; light mauve pink
cassette tape; Tape; Video- "JEM theme, Come On In, She Makes an Impression."
figure stand; Dark pink, not completely transparent, it's a bit milky-looking.
  • The same (or close enough for all practical purposes) stand came with Danse, Video, Flash N' Sizzle Jem, and the 2nd editions of:Aja, Kimber & Shana.

Items not listed in Hasbro's box contents (not all dolls came with the same posters and inserts, this is a listing of what I got personally with my dolls)
