Bands

ASHLEY & THE STARLIGHTS
Brief description: Ashley's garage band, with Deidre on guitar and Lela on drums. Their song is more a fantasy sequence rather than an actual "song -"  Ashley is not actually famous for singing.
Name-dropped in: The Jem Jam Part 1
THE BIG APES
Brief description: I have no idea, but apparently this woman was in the band.
Name-dropped in: The Talent Search, Part One.
THE BUMBLE BEES
Brief description: Never shown, but Roxy is supposed to introduce their new album, "Buzz on Home."  Oddly another bee-related band.
Name-dropped in: Roxy Rumbles.
BOBBY BAILEY & THE TORNADOS
Brief description: 50's band that arguably invented Rock 'n Roll.
Impersonating?: I'm guessing Bill Haley, of Bill Haley & The Comets.
Appeared all-too-briefly in: Old Meets New.
The FIFTH AVENUE BOYS
Brief description: Don't stand a chance against the Misfits, according to Roxy.  Members are Joe, Jay & Tom, names tuckerized by Christy Marx (Sunbow's producers).
Appeared all-too-briefly in: Glitter 'N Gold
JEM & THE HOLOGRAMS
Brief description: If you don't know what group this is, then you are really on the wrong website.
The LEATHERETTES
Brief description: A terrible band thrown in at Eric's rigged Battle of the Bands, to make The Misfits sound good.
Appeared all-too-briefly in: The Beginning.
The LIMP LIZARDS "Bro-ken Glass.... Bro-ken Glass!"
Brief description: A joke band, usually put in to show how much better even the Misfits are than the current state of music.  They have one song, a very off-key-ly sung "Broken Glass," played only (no pun intended) in fragments as it never had it's own "video".  They look pretty cool to me, I'm glad that they are shown briefly quite a few times during the show's run.
The Limp Lizards and other Characters: They were playing at the bar that Stormer and Kimber met and played together in for the first time (The Limp Lizards did the music for them).  They may have connections with Eric, in order to make the Misfits look good, they'd play first.
Important or starring episodes: Not really any, but appear briefly in The Beginning, In Stitches, The Bands Break Up & Change of Heart.
THE MISFITS
Brief description: Bad girl group, Jem's main competition.
THE NASTIES
Brief description: I have no idea, but apparently this woman was in the band.
Name-dropped in: The Talent Search, Part One.
NIRVANA
Brief description: Riot's band before forming the Stingers, also featured Minx on keyboards.  I think it even predates Kurt Cobain's band of the same name.
Appeared in: Riot's Hope
The SKULLS
Brief description: Band of skinhead thugs hired by Eric Raymond to prevent Jerrica from delivering Jem's album on time.
Appeared all-too-briefly in: Glitter 'N Gold
The SPACE CADETS
Brief description: A terrible band thrown in at Eric's rigged Battle of the Bands, to make The Misfits sound good.
Appeared all-too-briefly in:  The Beginning.
STATIC MOSS
Brief description: I have no idea, but apparently this woman was in the band.
Name-dropped in: The Talent Search, Part One.
The STINGERS
Brief description: Jem's most serious competition band, after the Misfits, introduced in the last few episodes of the show.
The TINKERBILLYS
Brief description: Jetta's band, before joining the Misfits.
Appeared all-too-briefly in: The Talent Search, Part 1.
The ZOMBOYS
Brief description: Misfits*-like group, who will do anything Pizzazz asks of them.
Appeared all-too-briefly in: Mardi Gras
*real-life/Glenn Danzig's Misfits
No-Name Band #1
Brief description: Look like Robotec Model Sheet Rejects to me. Are seen playing a song that is later revealed to be one of Sean Harrison's originals. First in a montage of terrible bands the Misfits check out when they are looking for the fourth Misfit.
As seen in: The Talent Search, Part One.
No-Name Band #2
Brief description: Second in a montage of terrible bands the Misfits check out when they are looking for the fourth Misfit.
As seen in: The Talent Search, Part One.
No-Name Band #3 (Sean Harrison's back up band)
Brief description: One of many bands shown to be playing this strange "hey! hey!" song.
As seen in: Scandal.
No-Name Band #4 (Back up vocalists)
Brief description: Sing a pretty great song about eating peanut butter.
As seen in: The Bands Break Up
No-Name Band #5 (Kimber & Stormer's studio band)
Brief description: They can play fast or slow... just make up your mind!
As seen in: The Bands Break Up
No-Name Band #6 (Latin band?)
Brief description: Found by Switch.  We know nothing about what they sound like.
As seen in: KJEM
