Jem Fashion Cards and Boxes

Images are branded to discourage fraud.  If you see anything for sale with the pranceatron.com logo on it, email me immediately, as I will NEVER sell any item with this branding.  These are the US fashion boxes and cards. So far international differences in packaging seem to be limited to different languages on the boxes.

1986

Flip Side Fashions Box (1986)
These boxes are thinner than the deluxe boxed fashions (Glitter N' Gold, Music is Magic) but follow the same rule of box, liner, and outfit secured to the card with white thread.  The shoes and plastic accessories (if any) will be in a small baggie inside.  Each box is individual to the fashion inside, with a drawing of Jem and Jerrica wearing the fashion on the front.  The back has a photo listing of the 8 flip side fashions offered that year.  There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.
On Stage Fashions Bubble Card (1986)
A simple card, with a bubble and cardboard liner.  Outfits are sewn onto the card with white thread, shoes are in a separate bubble of their own.  Each card is individual to it's fashion, it has a large colour drawing on the front, as well as the name of the fashion.  The back of the card also shows the name of the fashion, along with the set of 8 On Stage fashion drawings.  There is also a listing of the contents. There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.
Smashin' Fashions Bubble Card (1986)
A simple card, with a bubble and cardboard liner.  Outfits are sewn onto the card with white thread, shoes are in a separate bubble of their own.  Each card is individual to it's fashion, it has a large colour illustration on the front, as well as the name of the fashion.  The back of the card also shows the name of the fashion, along with the set of 8 Smashin' fashions for that year (Rio fashions were called Smashin' Fashions the first year.  There is also a listing of the contents.  There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.

Glitter N' Gold fashion box (1987)
Approximately 3 cm thick, it is a boxed fashion with a liner, often with an acetate bodyform holding the outfit in shape, the outfit pieces are usually sewn in with white thread.   The shoes and plastic accessories (if any) will be in a small baggie inside.  Each box is individual to it's fashion, it has a large colour photograph on the front, as well as the name underneath, there is also a listing of the contents.   All four sides state the name of the fashion on them; the back is relatively generic, with a photo listing of the six Glitter N' Gold fashions.  They are the same photographs used in the 2nd year catalogue poster, and the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue   There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.

Music is Magic fashion box (1987)
Approximately 3 cm thick, it is a boxed fashion with a liner, often with an acetate bodyform holding the outfit in shape, the outfit pieces are usually sewn in with white thread, the instruments fastened with plastic bolts.   The shoes and plastic accessories (if any) will be in a small baggie inside.  The shoes and plastic accessories (if any) will be in a small baggie inside.  Each box is individual to it's fashion, it has a large colour photograph on the front, as well as the name underneath, there is also a listing of the contents.   All four sides state the name of the fashion on them; the back is relatively generic, with a photo listing of the six Music is Magic fashions.   They are the same photographs used in the 2nd year catalogue poster, and except for Shana, the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue as well.   There is also a listing of the contents.  There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.

    Rio Fashions Bubble Card (1987)
    In 1987, Rio's fashions were no longer part of the Smashin' Fashion set but comprised a set of "Rio" fashions. A simple card, with a bubble and cardboard liner.  Outfits are sewn onto the card with white thread, shoes are in a separate bubble of their own.  Each card is individual to it's fashion, it has a large colour photograph on the front, as well as the name of the fashion.  The back of the card also shows the name of the fashion, along with the set of 8 Rio Fashion photographs.  There is also a listing of the contents.  There are often posters and offers included in the boxes.
