Comments/Fun Facts Other Versions of this outfit (may contain files larger than 100 kb, click at your own peril!)
  • It was released both years
  • An On Stage Fashion
  • There is no song called "Award Night"
  • It was featured on the cartoon (Opening Credits, Episodes)
  • The photo used in both the first year Jem catalogue poster and the 1986 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue  shows the outfit with a shiny purple belt with sparkly gold "J" on it the boa is quite a bit darker. The same photo (reversed :) is also shown in the fall issue of Doll Stars Magazine.
  • Another photo used in the 1986 German Leaflet,  (same photo appears in an issue of Topolino, and again in the 1986 Belgium catalogue): shows the belt to be incorporated into the outfit (not a seperate piece) & shiny, with no boa, and lighter shoes.
  • First Year Package Art illustration looks pretty much exactly like what was produced .
  • The same photo  (see left) is used for the 1987 US Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogue, the 1987 France/UK Toy Fair Catalogue, the Second Year Jem Catalogue Poster and the Second Year package art, and it looks pretty much exactly like what was produced.
  • A 1987 issue of Topolino shows it as it was produced.
  • It is one of the outfits featured in the Rockin' Roadster commercial. It may be in other commericals I haven't yet screen captured for this site.
  • The back box always says what is contained with the fashion.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the fashion;
Includes:silver jumpsuit, belt, boa and pumps.
Boa and shoe scans are the contributions of Rhonda Robinson!
silver jumpsuit; Silver lamé, velcros in front, collared.  It should be a bit shinier than this example.
Belt; leatherette fluorescent pink with a circular white "diamond" in the centre.  Velcro closure.
  • There are a few photos around (see below) of an earlier version of this belt, with a "J" where the diamond is.  As far as I know, they were never mass produced that way.
  • Boa; (not shown to scale) bright, deep magenta.

  • Similar to, but a bit brighter than the boa from the Show Me the Way playset.
  • pumps; Salmon Pink straight cut pumps.

  • They are similar to those from Come On In.  I'm not yet certain how to differentiate the two!
  • NRFB US edition, 2nd year photo card
  • Card- 2nd year On Stage Fashion
  • Insert -(hot pink)
  • This page was compiled with my NRFB US 2nd year issued fashion as a source. For more information on boxes, and the stuff included in them, please go to Jem Ephemera.
