Ashley
#4211/4025 Asst.

Description: Caucasian teenage doll with long blond wavy hair.
One of Jerrica's "Starlight Girls."  These are the least recognizable Jem dolls as they are proportioned like teenagers (plus their arms don't bend, flat feet, wrists don't swivel but do turn.)  Ashley is caucasian with long blond wavy hair.  To see a full length scan of a Starlight girl body, go here

Known Variations Comments and Fun Facts
  • The Starlight Girls are the only dolls that were on the cartoon first, then made into dolls. For this reason she and the other Starlight Girls are not seen in the books, comics or other non-cartoon/doll related Jem projects.

    The back box always says what is contained with the doll.  The bold words in my descriptions are what Hasbro themselves stated came with the doll;
Contains 11" doll, blouse, pants, socks, belt/suspenders, scarf, shoes, hairpick and figure stand.

blouse; Crisp white cotton, collared and velcros in the front, sleeves rolled up to elbows. Pattern is reminiscent of Raya's blouse, but not identical (colour differences).
pants; Crisp black cotton with same floral pattern as shirt, elasticized waist, mid-calf length, vertical slits on the inner seams.
socks; Thin white ribbed cotton, folded over.
belt/suspenders; hot pink leatherette belt with a small "D" shaped velveteen patch "belt buckle", velcro closure in front.  Attached crisp black cotton floral suspenders (match pants).
scarf (hair ribbon); dark pink mesh with polka-dots and silver tinsel threads weaved in.  She has a small pony tail on the back of her head which is secured with this hair ribbon.

  • All of the Starlight girls came with these sparkly lace ribbons.
  • Thanks to Joyce for this scan!
  • shoes; Light aqua blue jelly shoes.

  • All of the Starlight girls came with this type of shoes.
  • hairpick (note, I bought an opened doll, so this may not be her correct hair pick)

  • Compare to other Jem hair picks
  • Stand; Milky hot pink; the leg stand is peculiar to Starlight Girls, as they have small lines on the inside to hold their smaller legs in place, the hole is also a bit smaller in the bottom.  The Jem logo is also embossed on the top, not the underside. Each Starlight Girl came with the same stand.

  • Again, shown wearing opaque purple jelly shoes.  The outfit also looks really badly fitted to me...
