Secret of Rainbow Island
Unknown Books- these came up on
a search at Amazon.com online Bookstore; Assuming they exist, it's
my guess is that they are more Find Your Fate books... I have put
in an order for them but no word so far (it's been uh, years).
"Double Trouble" (Jem,
No. 4) Rusty Hallock (1987) This is the author who wrote "Jewels In the
Dark" and "Night of a Thousand Earrings."
"Haunted Video" (Jem,
No. 5) Judith Stamper (1987) This is the author who wrote "The Secret of
Rainbow Island."
"Dynamite Date" (Jem,
No. 6) Jean Waricha (1987) She is the author of "The Video Caper," as well.
Activity and Colouring Books:
Golden
I have US and Canadian colouring books. The main way to tell
the difference is the absence of the letter "u" in the word colour (Americans
use the term "color" instead) They also put essentially the same
"guts" into different covers, for unknown reasons. The most irking
thing about Canadian colouring books is that since we are a bilingual country,
all the text that couldn't be translated into French (the word bubbles
in a lot of the pictures, since they were done on the actual art couldn't
really be tampered with) were simply removed. So the "stories" didn't
really make a whole lot of sense. In some cases, the entire page
was replaced by a cheesy star drawing or the like.
*The descriptions are quite confusing, as the covers and insides tend
to overlap.
Jem
Sticker Fun
Jem
Paint with Water; turquoise w/full length Jem on cover
Paper
Dolls, Rio with yet again brown hair... People had no problem
giving Jem pink hair, but drew the line at Rio having purple it seems.
A
Big Coloring Book- (US)
A Colouring Book (Canadian)
(Basically the same insides as the above book, but the same cover as the
one below)
A
Big Color/Activity Book (Same cover as the Canadian "A Colouring
Book", but the interior is a condensed version of A
Deluxe Color/Activity Book) (US) Thanks to Antipathy
for this scan!
A
Deluxe Color/Activity Book (US; has an embossed silver
cover! MUCH superior to the Canadian edition, see the introduction for
why)
A
Colour/Activity Book. (Canadian version of the above book; same
cover but no silver)
A Colouring Book (Canadian)
(Basically the same as the above book, different covers)
A
Jumbo Colour/Activity Book (Canadian) Contains material from all
colouring books, has some original material in it.
A
Giant Coloring Book Apparently has different art than all the other
Jem colouring books! Thanks to Antipathy for the photo and information!
Miscellaneous Companies
Diamond
sticker album, comes with 3-D viewer. Smaller stickers.
Yellow cover. Recently (1999) I've been seeing a lot of these in
baggies with packs of the stickers on eBay. I'm guessing that Diamond
has repackaged their backstock to sell recently (Panini did this recently
with Care Bears and Gi Joe sticker sets in Canada too).
Giant Coloring Book
(Western Publishing) Never seen this book personally. Probably it's
the Giant Coloring Book by Golden (in the above listing)
There were many other Jem books available in other countries.
For more books, see Jem International.
There were also magazines and books that featured Jem in some other
way (articles, etc). Go to Jem Sightings
to review a list of them. |
